After almost 30 years in Australia I moved to London, UK in 2013, for 12 years, where I worked as a creative artworker, graphic designer and eventually transitioned to motion design. Along with my wife and daughter we decided to pack up in February 2025 and move to Madrid, Spain, where I now call home.
Where are you based?
I originally studied graphic design and have worked across almost all types of output, including small and large format printing, logo and brand design, small print collateral, event graphics, large format graphics including vinyl prints and cuts for vehicles and store graphics.
After several years working as a creative in London I saw an opportunity to transition into motion design. Some of the work I've created since becoming a motion designer include; Product Videos, Explainer Videos, Social Media Posts, Corporate & Internal Animations, Large Format Displays, Event Videos, UI Graphics, and Visual Effects.
What skills and types of content have you worked on?
My daily drivers are Cinema 4D, Redshift, and After Effects.
I also use a range of plugins for Cinema 4D and After Effects such as, X-Particles, and Octane, as well as a range of others including those from GSG and Rocket Lasso, and for After Effects, scripts and plugins from places like AE Scripts and Red Giant.
Other applications I am fluent in include, Ilustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, as well as others from the Adobe CC Suite and a range of other tools that help along the way.
What software do you use?
Being in the creative industry I have used both Mac and PC.
I have a custom built PC for the majority of my work as it does the heavy lifting, with high-end GPUs, CPU and 128gb of ram, and decked with SSDs and HDDs. I also have a Razer laptop for portability if and when I need to be on the go.
I use both Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive for online cloud storage.
